What to Expect From Your MRI at UT Medical Center
University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC) is the flagship location of University Radiology. We have been operating out of the city’s only Level 1 Trauma Center since the group’s official organization in 1985, however, we have been at UTMC dating back much later in other forms.
University of Tennessee Medical Center offers the Graduate School of Medicine of which University Radiologists are members of the faculty. Our physicians carry the title of Professor along with their role as the attending physicians for the hospital. Our commitment to teaching and training future radiologists is evident in our diversification of the members of our group with “experts” for all specialties of radiology available to residents and patients in our community.
In line with the residency program, University Radiology physicians are active members of the multidisciplinary conferences that bring together experts in the various fields of medicine. These conferences tackle difficult patient cases and review case studies with graduate school students. Participation by our radiologists and other members of the medical staff at UTMC brings together all the experts into one room to better treat and diagnosis complex patient cases.
The Conferences Focus On:
- Ear Nose and Throat
- Genitourinary System
University Radiology also participates in the University of Tennessee School of Radiography Technology and School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. These programs train the technicians that operate radiology imaging equipment.
